It's okay to not be okay

If there's anything I've learned in the past semester, it's that it's not a bad thing to have feelings and need help every now and then. I know that we all struggle in different ways and have ever changing problems, but I think it's very important to know that it's alright to be angry, frustrated, sad, and overwhelmed. I've had some major life changes come my way with no notice, and there's no doubt that it's been effecting me. Overall, I like to think I'm handling things well, but sometimes you just crack and have to face problems head on. Yes, school might be hard, but there is a lot of hurt and sorrow in this world and I think that sometimes we lose the big picture. Help the ones you love in anyway you can, even if its just a simple text, you never know how much it actually means.

When Michael Scott left "The Office"

Whether or not we want to admit it, we all have that fictional character or show that we relate to on another level and feel as if we're apart of the show. For me, and many other people on this plant, that show for me is The Office. I love every part of this show. From the jokes, to office romance, to the absolutely unique characters, I think this show is the best way to represent the U.S.  This show guarentees a laugh from me each and every time. No matter what is going on in my life, if I'm watching any episode between season 1 and 7 I promise you that I will giggle at least once. I highlight seasons 1-7 because at the end of season 7, Michael Scott leaves, and I believe that after that, everything goes to shambles. To me, Michael Scott is the epitome of the American Dream and his character is absolutely, perfectly,  inappropriate in the best way possible. This ones for you, Michael Scott, you're a living legend.

Questions for Self-Reflection

Mental and self-help are constantly be swept under the radar. I encourage you to seriously take the time to reflect upon these questions. What small victories did you have this week? What are 2 or 3 things you are proud of? What are things you are doing to improve your health? What is something you've done to improve your productivity or workspace? How are you nurturing existing relationships? How would you describe your current mental health status? Reflect upon the last time you took time for yourself. What is something you learned about yourself this week?
