Something I don't understand
This may be something you read the first couple sentences to, then decide it's not worth your time, or just turn your head because you've seen 6,002 things already like it. Trust me, I get it. I was the exact same way.
The idea is constantly around us, impossible to ignore, yet most still turn a blind eye to it. We're aware that our "world is coming to and end", and "the president is ruining everything", but you guys... it's us.
We constantly talk about this thing called "society" and how much it's breaking America and causing people to hate, but when will people realize that "society" is US. It's you, your mom, grandma, best friend, colleague, teammate, co-worker. You cannot physically place society anywhere because it is each and every one of us, all over the world.
Waiting for somebody else to make a change, or start a reform, is like trying to fix your grade from last semester... useless and disappointing.
For me, it all starts with kindness. Keep the snarky comments to yourself. Say hi to strangers. Don't forget your pleases and thank you's. Help somebody out that's struggling. And always, always smile.
In a world currently rooted in hate, try to be that little bit of sunshine that pokes through the storm could. Because if we can all become a ray, soon the whole sun will be shining.
