Throughout this writing course, I have grown as both a writer and overall person. The picture above is a visual representation on how I started this course with little writing experience and have developed into, not a full, but much larger tree. Because of this class, I have learned how to look at a certain issue and are able to ask questions. I was able to learn this through our microtheme. It forced me to look at a problem, with a biased I was already aware of and then re-evaluate to fit the general knowledge without a bias. Because of the process of writing my Exploratory Essay, I developed skills on analyzing articles, and being able to pick out key details I would need to defend my stance; but at the same time, use evidence to counter myself and educate myself on the full spectrum. Another skill I developed was being able to see issues for the real life stations. Being one class away from earning my yoga instructor status, I am extremely biased as to the positive effects of yoga. Some may think its just some planned napping and stretching, but to all people who practice it, it's so much more. Also as an athlete, I've found that after months of training 20 hours a week, some deep breathing, meditation, and deep tissue relaxation is one of the best feelings in the world. So, as we approach finals week and you begin to feel stressed, here's a 10 minute clip of a guided yoga meditation.
